Artist Statements

Always a torturous but satisfying writing affair.  The nice thing about them is that during the process of examining my work for the purpose of writing a statement, my focus is re-sharpened and my creativity stoked.   I gain new perspectives but also remember the ones that were getting a bit lost or diluted.

"Writing is easy. All you do is sit staring at a blank sheet of paper until the drops of blood form on your forehead."
- Gene Fowler

In other news, the husband-creature is currently installing french doors in the new studio area.  It's a better space than the old studio, but the lack of doors is frustrating.  He promises the cats will no longer be breaking things by the end of today.
